he loves me! he loves me! he loves me!

ok, so have any of you seen those jewelry commercials- "every kiss begins with kay" or "he went to jared", or "he loves me, he loves me, he loves me!". well, when i opened my last gift from rich, which he very cleverly disguised in his wrapping, the boys were all about reminding me of all of those jewelry commercials. rich absolutely HATES! those commercials. it was funny and he really fooled me. it was unexpected. a little background: about 2 years ago i was moving our piano (i know, not something i should've been doing on my own) and while pushing it against the wall i managed to jam my ring between it and the wall - leaving a nice prong/diamond indentation in the wall, as well as bending my ring. to say the least, my ring wasn't looking so pretty anymore. so finally last year i just bought a fake ring that i've been wearing for a while - one that really embarrassed rich. so i guess that was all it took for him to finally make the trek to those annoying jewelry stores, shop, and pick out (on his own) a replacement for my band/setting. i am happy to have my original diamond back on my finger, and love the new setting he selected. my only desire was to have a white gold ring, and i'd say he did a fine job in his selection. i love it and love staring at it each day, like i used to do with my original ring. what a sweetheart i'm married to! i'm not normally a big jewelry fan, but this has to top my list of most thoughtful gifts from rich.
