mason is 8...can you believe it?

 mason had a great birthday. it's hard to believe he's 8. only a couple of years ago he was my youngest, my baby. he is such a fun and crazy boy, with zest for life. no friend party for his 8th birthday, but we had a great family party with a fun dinner (sliders, chips, etc.), and then who can top birthday cake for dessert?

this birthday was especially special because he made the decision to be baptised a member of the church of jesus christ of latter day saints ( www.lds.org ), and will be baptised shortly. along with the baptism theme, mason got, among his many gifts, the most special gift - a new set of scriptures. hopefully through life he will find that this gift of scriptures will serve him in many ways, in difficult times, and will hold many answers to all of life's questions.
