we spent new years eve at the hursts with some fun friends. the kids played games and watched movies, and seth wandered around aimlessly (just happy he wasn't in bed) 
i promised rich (who was in peru) that at the stroke of midnight i would only kiss my boys. unfortunately for isaac, he was the closest one to me! pucker-up baby!
so while the kids all had a blast, so did i! i figured if i was going to brave the party "single", i'd at least pretend that i didn't mind that i didn't have my significant other there with me. so i played ping-pong (yes, with seth on my hip), played a great card game with the ladies, and (apparently) to the hosts horror, i drank the last few drops of martineli's straight from the bottle. (i know, i know, i'm so WILD & CRAZY). seth was also quite the partier and lasted until we got home (around 1am). not only did he last, but he was actually really good. he knew i needed a fun night.
in spite of all of the fun, i sure missed my love. i really, really missed him.
