we had a wonderful thanksgiving. we hate not being able to share it with family, but the next best thing is spending it with our good friends. jeremy was the only one to attend the turkey bowl. it was freezing but fun.
after preparing 2 pies (banana cream, and strawberry/banana cream), a large pot of delicious mashed potatoes, yams & corn, we headed off to the snelsons. not only was the meal beautiful, but also VERY DELICIOUS! it's always fun to enjoy traditional foods prepared by others. the hursts (minus melissa), lasley's & williams were also there. the kids had a great time being with friends.
also, for the month of november we started a thankful jar. the goal was to add just one thing we are thankful for each day. because we began this mid-way through nov., we didn't completely fill our jar. but for family nite at the end of november we read through what people wrote and discussed why we wrote what we did. we have SO MUCH to be thankful, on a daily basis, and this helped us be ever aware of these things!

celeste, you are such an inspiration to me...you always have been. Looking through your blog makes me want to gather my little kittens and do more with them. Feel like I am ALWAYS treading water.
