honestly, could there be a cuter 1 year-old anywhere in the world?
he had his 1yr appointment and he's in 25% for weight and height (21.2#, can't remember height...30 something). he's basically back on track with the other kids. he's in a forward facing seat- HOORAY!. he's still crawling - fast as lightening- but crawling and not walking. he's off of formula and transitioned very easily to whole milk. since then he is actually eating food now. HOORAY! he's still on his bottle, which we'll wean him from after our quick trip to
utah over memorial day weekend. he still only has 8 teeth, with his incisors teasing their arrival every now and again. 2 days after his birthday he decided he was big enough to sleep through the night. HOORAY! goes to bed around 8p and wakes up around 6:30a. still takes 2 naps. what a good boy he is.

one of
seth's daily routines is still to empty the container of
unsharpened pencils and sharpies and throw them across the office. if anyone tries to clean them up while he's in the room, he gets right back over to empty them again. he's the same way about the pantry and his drawer of misc. kitchen items. needless to say, i quite often have a very messy house, thanks to
seth. but he's not mischevious and when you tell him "no" he actually listens and usually stops - despite him being mad at you for telling him "no".
seth has an
obsession with my brooms. i don't know what it is, but any time they are out he wants to grab the handle and just hold it. strange
fascination! and he continues to be a little freaked-out by the vacuum.

but most of the time you can find
seth in the
tv room playing with all of his fabulous toys (courtesy of a friend). it's fun because he has learned what to do with them, rather than just dumping them all on the floor. he's a busy boy, but he seems to me to be less rambunctious than some of the others. he's quite
humorous and likes to laugh at himself. he also really likes his books, but only when he's not in the mood to be "running" around.
i often wonder how, for so long, we thought we were done having kids. i mean, really, what would we have done without
seth in our lives. he blesses each one of us EVERY DAY. he makes each one of us smile and laugh EVERY DAY. he is just th
e sweetest thing and we ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY adore him!
