3/2/10
9 months come and gone...
can you believe it? at seth's 9 mo. appt. he weighed 20# and was 28 3/4". he's definitely my biggest boy at 9 mo's, but has only gained 1/2# in 3 mo's.
so what is seth up to at 9 mo? he has 5 teeth, & is working really hard on another 2. although we was not crawling at 9 mo's, he managed to get almost everywhere he wanted to be. he enjoys making a mess, then rolling/scooting away from it.
he loves paper in any form- receipts, school-work, etc..., and really likes wet-wipes. he tears them into tiny pieces with his pointer finger and thumb. he's pretty good about not putting random things in his mouth, but when he does, he laughs when mommy tells him "yucky, no, no" and then takes it out.
he is rebelling against food... again! he was eating yogurt, chicken noodle soup, toast, sweet potatoes, applesauce, and his garden-veggie puffs. now he's mostly just doing the puffs. i think he's decided he prefers warm foods. it's a constant roller-coaster with food and i just have to keep reminding myself (& rich) that he's obviously not starving!
other things: he yells "momma" like it's a swear-word, he has tapped into his temper, he's turned into a little ham and has the cheesiest grin/laugh!, whether happy or angry he's decided it's fun to yell at the top of his lungs at the store, he's had more than a few injuries, including falling off a table at church onto the gym floor (don't ask), he goes to bed all by himself every nite between 7:45-8:30p.m, but is now up btwn 1-3 for a bottle, then up again for good between 5:45a.m. & 7a.m. in the land of discovery he happened across a permanent toy between his legs.
we love almost every moment!

Aaaaaw, so cute! Avery refused to eat food until she was 12 mos. but then she got sick, so she was 13 mos. before she started eating real food.
What a good baby going to sleep all by himself at night. That's awesome!
Celeste! So fun to finally catch up on your life. It looks like you guys are doing it right. Are you staying there for good? It looks like a great place for families. I still can't believe you have five, but I know no one better and more capable. I love that you got all the boys I was planning on. I never expected girl drama.... I will try and update our blog soon--as soon as I have any info on what is going on in our lives!
Much love!

p.s. Happy Birthday to Rich from me!
Seth is such a cutie! Kara was my biggest at that age. She weighed 25 pounds at 6 months and she still weighed 25 pounds at 2 years. Kids have interesting growth spurts. Can't wait to meet the little guy in person. Hopefully, we can come visit this fall.
