this was the 1st school play cassie actually tried out for. she didn't get a part, other than being in the chorus, but we were really proud of her for trying. fortunately a couple of days before the play her teacher asked her if she would introduce the play to the audience. she did a great job doing that and maybe this experience will give her the confidence to try again.
