i love it when that happens

so i was in sam's yesterday, picking up a new (bigger boy) car seat for seth, juggling feeding him with one hand (while he was sitting in his too-small-for-him- seat), paying the cashier with the other, then getting the new car seat into the cart. a lady behind me said, "you've learned to juggle quite well for being a new mommy. is he your first?" "oh, no" i replied with a chuckle, "he's my 5th." "oh my," she said, "you don't look old enough to be a mother of 5." "oh thank you," was my reply, but what i really wanted to say was, "i love you. you're my new favorite person, etc." i do love it when people think seth is my first. i think sometimes i probably look like an amateur with him, but mostly i'm hoping its cuz i look young! on a separate note, i have to make a correction to a recent post. i'm ashamed to say that i was thinking seth was turning 8 months on the 12th of feb. it's not true, i'm embarrassed to say- he turns 9 months. it's moments like these when i think i shouldn't be allowed to be a mom! what kind of mom doesn't know how old her baby is? so at 7 1/2 mo. seth weighed 19.6#, is sitting and rolling quite well, but isn't crawling or walking around furniture. (all 4 other kids were doing both by 7 mo., but didn't weigh that much til 11-12 mo.) maybe it's the extra weight that is disabling him from crawling or walking????
