chicago here we come...

so we've lived here 4 years and we have never taken our kids to chicago. i know, we are lame. but we finally did it. rich did a little research and we decided it'd be fun to catch the south shore line train into chicago so we wouldn't have to deal with traffic or parking. the train was a first for all of us- except rich. we can now check it off our list. it was a good one-time experience. it was a 2 1/2 hr ride. i didn't prepare well with things for the kids to do, as we didn't want to have a lot to carry once we got to our destination. luckily they were all great. ike experienced motion-sickness so he slept most of the way there. cass and mason remained entertained with cassie's camera. rich slept, and jeremy and i played with seth, who i think also experienced a little motion-sickness as well. i'm glad we did it.
