4 days and counting...

so, i had my last dr's apt. yesterday. it was in the afternoon (most have been 1st thing in the morning) so i feared my weight gain would reflect a day of eating. luckily i only gained another lb and i'm feeling great about my total weight gain! HOORAY. everything looked and sounded good. seth decided to poke his booty out while dr. was listening to the heartbeat. cass, jeremy & mason were with me and they got a kick out of how lopsided my belly was. everything is in order for my c-section on tues. morning. dr. said he's got another dr. coming in with him to make sure i don't have bleeding like i did with mason. i told him to feel free to put me back together better than i was when i started. he said his main focus is to make sure i don't bleed, but he'd do his best on the other. i guess that is the priority! i can only have one person in the o.r., and even tho' rich has been saying he didn't think he could do it again, he knows he's the one to be in the room. although gina had been told she should just take his place, she understood the importance of him being there with me. lisa (my older sis) will be arriving monday nite to be here with the kiddos. this is a first for me - having someone be here with kids while i have a baby. nice. i've always had visitors, but none that have been able to stay for the duration or being here before i go in. i'm sure it'll be a treat. she'll be here a week. so, although my weekend is crazy, i was able to accomplish a lot this week. i completely cleaned/vacuumed and shampooed the van. it's besides the fact that it took me like 6 hours to do so! (if i hadn't been prego i think i would've done it in about 2 hours). i did this after i had been finishing up painting my upstairs hallway. (i had painted the stairwell and decided i hated the color with the adjoining hallway. so i had to change that, of course). needless to say, the next day i pretty much had to veg all day, just folding laundry and doing the regular running around w/baseball. the day before i had done many errands, including returns and oil change, etc. so, all that is left to do now is keep up the house and laundry (which feels like a daunting task in and of itself). i have been VERY BLESSED to have been feeling good. i'm feeling better in these last 2 weeks than i have the entire time. my swelling has also been to a minimum this time, so i'm not feeling like i'm going to pop. i've had a lot of energy and am grateful for this. i've been able to finish up a lot of little things that i haven't been able to do my whole pregnancy. we are so very excited. i'm grateful mother's day is sunday, although i said to rich that it's one of those holidays that i feel like is more about my mom than me. i wish i could be with her and all of my siblings/in-laws who are mothers. thank goodness for all of the good mother's out there who have been amazing influences on me! i'm not only surrounded by them here, but have been throughout my life. how lucky i am!
